An East Liberty man accused of killing two sisters, his next door neighbors, appeared in a Westmoreland County court Thursday morning for a hearing involving a case in which he is charged with stealing a woman’s wedding ring.

Allen Wade, 43, is awaiting trial on charges of theft and receiving stolen property after Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg said he stole a woman’s wedding ring while delivering a refrigerator to her Cook home in April 2013.

Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge Rita Hathaway revoked bond for Wade in the theft case and agreed to put schedule his case for trial. A trial date had not been set as of Thursday afternoon.

Wade moved into a rental on Chislett Street in East Liberty and was arrested March 3 on charges that he killed his next door neighbors, Susan and Sarah Wolfe. The sisters were found shot to death in the basement of their home Feb. 7.

Wade has maintained his innocence. Formal arraignment in that case is scheduled for May 7.
