Camp to hold annual dinner, auction

Red Cross to sponsor bowling fundraiser

Greensburg — The Westmoreland-Armstrong Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold its 21st annual Bowling for Disaster Relief fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Main Bowling Center in Greensburg. Forest Hills student heads to state geography bee

Forest Hills — Theodore Kondrich, an eighth-grader at East Catholic School in Forest Hills, will compete Friday in the 2014 Pennsylvania State Geographic Bee in Harrisburg.

The National Geographic Society selected Theodore, the son of Keith and Helen Kondrich, to compete at the state level based on his score on a qualifying test. 

The state winner will receive $100, the Complete National Geographic on DVD and a trip to Washington, D.C., to represent Pennsylvania in the National Geographic Bee finals May 19-21 at National Geographic Society headquarters.
