Upper Burrell — The New Kensington campus of Penn State University, 3550 Seventh St. Road, will hold auditions for its upcoming production of "Almost, Maine" from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. The show will run in April. Information: 724-448-8942.


Greensburg — The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will perform "Gershwin Valentine" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St. The repertoire will comprise Vaughan Williams' Symphony No. 5 and Gershwin's Concerto in F. Tickets: $10-$39, 724-837-1850.

Hempfield -- Congregation Emanu-El Israel will sponsor an evening of Chamber Music at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Mary Lou Campana Chapel on the Greensburg campus of the University of Pittsburgh, 150 Finoli Drive The program comprises music by Mendelssohn, Schulhoff, Kreisler and Gershwin. Penn Township — Penn Trafford Area Recreation Commission will hold a Glow Dance Party for students in grades 3-5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in the cafeteria at Penn Middle School, 11 Penn Middle Way. Latrobe — The Latrobe Art Center, 819 Ligonier St., will hold a " 'Made with Love' Smoochie Monsters Valentine's Day Boxes" session from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $15, $10 for members. Supplies are included. Information: 724-537-7011.

Jeannette — The Holy Name Society of Ascension Catholic Church, 615 Division St., will hold a Super Bowl Pancake & Sausage Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in Mersinger Hall. The cost of the breakfast is $5, free for children younger than 12. Proceeds from the breakfast benefit youth activities at Ascension and Sacred Heart parishes in Jeannette. Monroeville — International Women will meet at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 7 at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 2310 Haymaker Road. The topic will be “Alaska, The Last Frontier,” led by IWC Carol Hoyt. Greensburg — The Performing Arts Division of Seton Hill University will sponsor a jazz improvisation clinic from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at its Performing Arts Center, 100 Harrison Ave. Leading the clinic will be saxophonist and National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Jamey Aebersold. The cost is $5, free for students and families involved in the Seton Hill Community Arts Program. Participants should bring their own instruments and be ready to play. In addition, Mr. Aebersold will perform a concert at 7 p.m. with the Youth Honors Jazz Band in the Carol A. Reichgut Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public. Information: 724-552-2923.
