A landslide that reduced Route 909 in Plum to one lane in both directions has been cleared.

"That slide has been cleaned up and traffic is using both lanes now," Steve Cowan, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, said this morning.

A hillside collapse around 6:55 a.m. partially closed the eastbound lane of the road, known locally as Coxcomb Hill Road, near Logans Ferry Road and blocked one lane.

Motorists had to use a single lane in both directions.

Mr. Cowan said a PennDOT geo-technical engineer might visit the scene Monday to assess the situation and determine whether additional remediation of the hillside is needed.
