An Indiana County man died Thursday from injuries he suffered in a vehicle crash a day earlier, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Vernon Troup, 71, of Indiana, died at Conemaugh Hospital, where he was taken after he previously had been transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center, state police said in a news release.

Mr. Troup was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of McKnight Road and Warren Road in White shortly after 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, when he proceeded through the sign and into the path of an oncoming vehicle, state police said.

He was thrown from the vehicle upon impact, state police said. The 88-year-old woman driving the other vehicle was not hurt.
