Allegheny County sheriff's deputies arrested a wanted sex offender Tuesday for the fourth time in three years.

Zacharia Zaremba, 27, formerly of Monroeville was wanted on two warrants, Lt. Jack Kearney said.

The first was issued when he failed to register as a sex offender after moving from his Duff Road home in Monroeville; the second, for violating probation/parole when he moved and did not register.

In a 2008 sex assault case, Zaremba pleaded guilty to charges including statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and furnishing liquor to minors after police said he provided alcohol to a 14-year-old girl and had sex with her.

Sheriff's deputies received a tip about Zaremba's whereabouts Tuesday, and after searching several locations, found that he was living in the 1700 block of Nash Street in Penn Hills with his girlfriend and her family, Lt. Kearney said.

Each of Zaremba's apprehensions in the past three years came following tips from the public, Lt. Kearney said.

A second registered sex offender was living in the home, but was not charged, because he had registered at that location.
