A woman has died a week after she was struck by a small school bus in Forest Hills and the driver fled the scene.

Alberta A. Slaczka, 67, died at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday at UPMC Mercy, the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said. An autopsy will be performed today.

Ms. Slaczka was hit at the intersection of Greensburg Pike and Carl Avenue around 8 a.m. May 1.

After the accident, Ernest Brevard, 71, of Wilkins was charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, reckless driving, making a false report to law enforcement and traffic violations.

It was unclear Wednesday night if Ms. Slaczka's death would lead to additional charges against Mr. Brevard.
