An Indiana, Pa., man was killed around 3:45 a.m. Sunday in a helicopter crash in Los Angeles County while working on a military-themed reality show for the Discovery Channel.

Michael Donatelli, 45, was one of three passengers, including the pilot, who were killed in the crash, according to Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff Jason Brandenburg.

Mr. Brandenburg said the FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash.

According to a news release posted on the Eyeworks USA website, the helicopter crash was related to the shooting of "Untitled Military Show" for the Discovery Channel.

The Discovery Channel released the following statement: "A production company was shooting a show for Discovery Channel when this tragic accident occurred. We are all cooperating fully with authorities. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families."
