A local man and a senior citizen from California have been accused in an indictment of conspiring to sell methamphetamine, according to U.S. District Court documents unsealed Wednesday.

Kevin Nicol, 57, of the Harrison City neighborhood in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, faces charges of conspiring to distribute and possessing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Also accused is Dominick Spickle, 78, of Sacramento. All of the crimes, according to the indictment, occurred in September.

Both were released on $20,000 unsecured bond and ordered to remain in Western Pennsylvania. They face arraignment Monday.

The charges stem from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the state police, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton's office.
