Forbes Hospice will move temporarily to West Penn Hospital until the facility can find a permanent location, officials said today.

The Oakland facility will move to Tthe Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Bloomfield in June.

The hospice will remain open at its current Oakland site through May and will provide care to patients and their families during the transition.

"Knowing how much our patients and their families rely on our support, our intention is to offer no break in service during this transition," said hospice director Maryanne Fello.

Forbes Hospice is a nonprofit hospice and palliative care program for the terminally ill.
