Fayette County teenager pleads guilty in Redstone shooting

A Fayette County teenager accusing of shooting a young boy in Redstone last year pleaded guilty Monday to attempted homicide and related charges.

Deago Eddings, 17, is scheduled to be sentenced to eight to 20 years in prison at a Dec. 16 hearing, prosecutors said. He was tried as an adult and also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and a firearms violation.

Eddings is accused of shooting a boy, then 6 years old, in the chest outside the Hunters Ridge apartment complex July 3, 2012. The boy now uses a wheelchair.
