Authorities are searching for a Knoxville man accused of shooting and critically injuring a person in March.
Pittsburgh police charged 41-year-old Deon Reese with attempted homicide, robbery and other offenses.
According to a criminal complaint, Mr. Reese and another man attempted to rob a home in the 1300 block of Paulson Avenue in Lincoln-Lemington on March 23.
During the robbery, the two men encountered a person inside the home and the three began fighting, the complaint said. Mr. Reese shot the victim in the chest, investigators said, and the other man hit the victim with a plastic chair.
Investigators said they were able to link a cell phone found in the residence to Mr. Reese. The victim identified Mr. Reese as the shooter in a photo array constructed by police, according to the complaint.
The victim was released from the hospital April 13.
Police have not charged anyone else in connection with the robbery.
