A 15-year-old boy who fell off the back of a moving car in Homewood last week has died.
Ronte Nelson-Goins, of the Homewood area, died Tuesday of injuries suffered in the Feb. 29 incident, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead at 2:29 p.m.
Pittsburgh police responded just after midnight on Feb. 29, moments after Ronte fell from the trunk of the vehicle in the 7400 block of Race Street as it sped up and down the road. He suffered a head injury causing “respiratory distress” and the teen stopped breathing after paramedics placed him in an ambulance, police said. He had been in critical condition since the incident.
