Pittsburgh police late Wednesday arrested an Allentown man who had barricaded himself in a house after a domestic incident and refused to come out.
Dayvon Tyrie Pack, 24, has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and possessing instruments of crime.
Police were called to the 200 block of Merrimac Street in Mount Washington about 9 p.m. for a report of a man and woman who were arguing.
Police said Mr. Pack had a firearm and threatened the woman, who was able to get out of the house with others who had been inside.
Mr. Pack, however, refused to come out after officers arrived, and a police SWAT team was dispatched.
Police said that Mr. Pack surrendered after the SWAT team fired tear gas into the house.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday.
