A Brookline man was ordered this morning to stand trial in the stabbing death of his 75-year-old roommate, according to court records.

Christopher Richardson, 48, was arrested on charges of homicide and robbery July 5 after Pittsburgh police said he stabbed Alan Krupitzer inside his home on Pioneer Avenue.

Police wrote in a criminal complaint that Mr. Richardson told police he asked Mr. Krupitzer if he could borrow money from him and when Mr. Krupitzer said he didn't have any money, Mr. Richardson began to check his pockets.

Mr. Krupitzer then pushed Mr. Richardson, who grabbed a knife and stabbed him, according to the complaint.
