A SWAT team was dispatched to Homewood this morning after two men were shot.

Police arrived shortly after 2 a.m. to the 7300 block of Susquehanna Street after reports of a shooting. Two males, ages 35 and 41, were taken to UPMC Presbyterian with injuries. One of the victims was reported in serious condition.

Police determined that the shots came from a nearby home and ordered the occupants to come outside. When those orders were ignored, a SWAT team was dispatched to the scene.

Two adult males who were inside the home were arrested, while an additional five juveniles inside the home -- two females and three males -- were released to their guardians.

Aaron Lyons and Davon Nichols, both 20 years-old of Homewood, are in custody facing charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, former convict not to own a firearm and possession of controlled substances.

A firearm along with 20 stamp bags of heroine, cocaine and a small amount of marijuana were recovered, police reported.
