Two children struck by vehicles in separate incidents

Two children are being treated for injuries following two separate accidents where they were struck by cars.

An Allegheny County dispatcher confirmed that a four year-old girl was struck by a vehicle shortly after 12:30 near the intersection of Madeline Street and Brownsville road in Carrick. Around the same time In Homewood, an 11-year old boy was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike on North Homewood Avenue.

There is no word on injuries for either child, but emergency responders were told the four-year old is conscious.
