The city has reopened McArdle Roadway after crews cleared debris from the latest landslide.

The road was closed around 9:30 this morning from the Liberty Bridge to Grandview Avenue. The slide occurred behind a retaining wall but mud accumulated behind the wall until it spilled over, said Timothy McNulty, spokesman for Mayor William Peduto.

It was at least the seventh time McArdle has closed in the last three years because of slides or fallen trees. Most closures have been for a few hours, but one kept the road closed for nearly three months in 2012.
