Nearly 50 Port Authority bus routes will be affected Saturday by street closures in Downtown Pittsburgh for the annual MS Walk, the agency announced this morning.

From approximately 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., some routes will be detoured with temporary stop changes and others will experience delays. Details can be found at www.portauthority.org.

The authority previously announced that Light Rail Transit service and several bus routes will be detoured Saturday due to rail repairs near the Mount Washington Transit Tunnel and Panhandle Bridge

The transit tunnel will be closed to buses from 7 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. Rail service will single-track through the tunnel. Inbound buses will detour through Allentown and use the Wabash Tunnel on outbound trips. Riders were advised to allow extra travel time.

Inbound platforms at South Hills Junction and Station Square will be closed. Trips in both directions will use the outbound platforms.
