Flood advisory issued for Ohio River at Pittsburgh

It's spring, there is rain in the forecast, so that must mean . . . there's a flood advisory for Pittsburgh.

Indeed, the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh late this morning issued a flood advisory for the Ohio River at Pittsburgh.

The weather service said a wet period is predicted with rainfall through Friday evening. By Friday afternoon, it said, river levels are expected to rise. The most significant period of river rise is expected to extend into Saturday morning.

Weather service radar showed widespread rain to the north and west of Pittsburgh before 1 p.m.
