Gunfire near Larimer gas station leaves one man wounded

A man was shot three times Friday night near a gas station in Larimer after an argument turned violent.

The 27-year-old victim is in stable condition at UPMC Presbyterian, according to a news release from the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety.

He was not named.

There were no arrests in the case.

The shooting occurred around 11:31 p.m. near a Sunoco station in the 6400 block of Frankstown Avenue. It is believed to have been spurred by an argument that began at the gas pumps.

The victim was shot in the "lower extremities."

No further information was released.
