A woman was badly injured this morning after reports that she jumped out of her father's truck while it drove across the Greenfield Bridge.

Pittsburgh police and medics were called to the bridge shortly after 9 a.m. today, according to an emergency dispatch supervisor.

Police said the woman, whose name has not been released, jumped out of the truck her father was driving and then leaped over a wall and fell an estimated 30 to 50 feet down a dirt embankment in a wooded area.

An officer found her after she called for help. Medics reported that the woman was alert but badly injured, police said.
