The Allegheny County medical examiner has identified the victim of a shooting Monday night in Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.

Richard Didonato, 66, of Bellevue, was pronounced dead at Allegheny General Hospital after the shooting in the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue. An autopsy was scheduled for later today.

A witness, who would not be identified by name, said the man was shot once inside a parked car, then dragged out and shot again. The shooting occurred shortly before 8 p.m.

"I looked out the window. I thought the guy was trying to help him. Then I saw him pull the gun out," the witness said. "They're always shooting around here but I've never seen anyone shot in front of me."
