14-year-old stable after Knoxville shooting

Pittsburgh police described as stable the condition of a 14-year-old at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after he was shot this evening in Knoxville, police said.

The boy was with friends on the front porch of a home in the 200 block of Jucunda Street about 6:30 p.m. when an unidentified person ran between two homes to the porch, fired at least one shot and ran away, major crimes Lt. Daniel Herrman said.

The boy was wounded in the arm and chest, he said.
