The fountain at Point State Park will be turned off for the season on Friday, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced today.
The fountain and pool under the Portal Bridge will be drained and winterized. The fountain will be off until April or early May.
“Our staff will be reviewing all of the fountain’s inner workings as part of the shutdown for the winter so we are ready to go when milder weather returns in the spring," said Dave Kemmerer, director of state parks.
