Knoxville man arrested on charges he sexually assaulted 2 boys

A Knoxville man was arraigned this afternoon on charges that he sexually abusing two boys and paid them for sex acts.

One boy told Pittsburgh police that Michael Seaman, 40, engaged in oral sex with him between 10 and 20 times between the spring and fall of 2012 and sometimes paid him between $50 and $100, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Mr. Seaman recorded video of them at least once, the boy told police.

A second boy separately told a sex assault detective that Mr. Seaman engaged in various sex acts with him between March and August of this year, sometimes paying him $1 to $5 and sometimes paying him in cash or Xbox games to take photos. Mr. Seaman recorded video of them at least once, according to the affidavit.

The second boy told police that one day he accessed Mr. Seaman's computer without Mr. Seaman's knowledge and discovered a video of him naked, alone in Mr. Seaman's shower. He also told police that Mr. Seaman showed him a video of Mr. Seaman engaged in oral sex with another boy.

Mr. Seaman faces charges of promoting prostitution, corruption of minors, sexual abuse of children, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal attempt, invasion of privacy and indecent assault. He was being held in the Allegheny County Jail this evening on $100,000 bail and faces an Oct. 25 preliminary hearing.
