Allegheny County sheriff's deputies are closing a bar in the city's Spring Garden neighborhood today for failing to pay drink taxes.

County Treasurer John Weinstein ordered Parrott's Pub on Spring Garden Avenue to be padlocked after it repeatedly failed to pay the county's Alcoholic Beverage Tax. The bar owes the county more than $17,690 and was previously closed in January for the same reason.

It is the 39th time the county has closed an establishment for failure to pay taxes.
