Officials padlocked a popular Station Square nightclub after its owners fell behind on their rent.

Allegheny County sheriff's deputies helped padlock Saddle Ridge last week after Forest City Station Square Associates, which owns the building where the club operated, obtained a writ of possession.

Court documents show that the club was $326,000 behind on its rent as of December 2011. Sheriff's Sgt. Richard Fersch said it had likely grown further behind since then.

An attorney representing Saddle Ridge declined comment.
