A Westmoreland County man is awaiting arraignment this morning on charges that he used a recording device on a keychain to record two girls while they changed in a Station Square hotel room.

Louis Wilt, 58, of New Florence, faces charges of sexual abuse of children and invasion of privacy.

Pittsburgh police went to the Sheraton in Station Square on Pittsburgh's South Side about 12:20 a.m. today after one of the girls' mothers contacted hotel security.

The woman's daughter called her shortly after 11 p.m. to tell her that the two girls, both of whom are younger than 16, spotted a device with a blinking red light that appeared to have a tiny camera lens and was pointed toward where they had just changed into their swimsuits, according to a criminal complaint.

In a conversation with police, the woman said Mr. Wilt told her the device only recorded audio and he wanted to hear what the girls had to say because he thought they discussed boys and alcohol, according to the complaint.
