East Liberty man arrested in smoke shop robbery

An East Liberty man was arrested today in an early July smoke shop robbery.

Derrick D. Duke, 18, was arrested on two felony counts of robbery and a felony conspiracy charge at his home by the Western Pennsylvania Marshals Task Force.

Pittsburgh police had responded to a call just after 9 a.m. July 1 regarding a robbery at the William Penn Smoke Shop, 132 N. Highland Ave. The East Liberty shop was robbed by two men armed with a gun and a Taser, who exited the store with an unspecified amount of money, police said at the time.
