A woman listed as one of the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" was arrested today in Lincoln-Lemington after failing to appear in court on charges of child endangerment.

Danyell Moore, 38, of Larimer had been out on bond after being charged in October with interference with the custody of children, concealment of the whereabouts of a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of children, according to court records.

Ms. Moore's 10-year-old son told a staff member at his elementary school that his mother had left home and had not returned, according to a news release from the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.

Ms. Moore's mother was granted custody. A day after the grandmother took the child in, Ms. Moore removed him, according to the release. She turned the boy in to the Allegheny County Office of Children, Youth and Families three days later.

Ms. Moore was then charged by Pittsburgh police.

She failed to show up for her court appearance in May, prompting the Sheriff's Office to place her on its "Most Wanted" list on June 4, according to Lt. Jack Kearney of the Sheriff's Department.

Ms. Moore was arrested today at a residence in the 6500 block of Meadow Street with her infant grandchild. She was taken to Allegheny County Jail until her trial.

It is unknown whether Ms. Moore was allowed to be with her grandchild when custody of her 10-year-old son had been taken away from her. A representative from CYF was not immediately available to comment.
