A South Side PNC Bank was robbed this afternoon, police said.
A man entered the PNC at 2603 East Carson Street around 2:45 p.m. and demanded money, Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard said in a press release.
He handed a teller a note that said, "this is no joke, this is no 911 don't push any buttons or I'll blow you away," Ms. Richard said.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money, and he left through the front door, she said.
No one was injured and no weapon was observed, Ms. Richard said.
Police are looking for a 25- to 35-year-old white male, about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, with a medium build. The man has black, curly, shoulder-length hair and is clean-shaven with braces. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants, black tennis shoes, black sunglasses and black and white striped gloves, police said.
Ms. Richard said the South Side robbery is not thought to be connected to a First Niagra Bank robbery on Mount Washington that occurred hours earlier, though both robberies are still under investigation.mobilehome - neigh_city - breaking
