Jurors at the trial of former corrections officer Harry F. Nicoletti Jr. left the Allegheny County Courthouse on Friday without rendering a verdict and are set to resume deliberations Monday.

Mr. Nicoletti, 61, of Coraopolis, faces 80 criminal counts, ranging from official oppression to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, based largely on the testimony of 20 former inmates at State Correctional Institution Pittsburgh. Mr. Nicoletti testified that he was innocent and did not know why the inmates, many imprisoned for sex crimes, were targeting him.

Common Pleas Judge David R. Cashman charged the jury Friday. The trial included 11 days of testimony.
