A Crafton Heights man was arrested early this morning on charges that he kicked down the door of an Elliott home and robbed a man over a debt.

Christian Hollis, 24, is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail on $250,000 bail.

Commander Scott Schubert from the city's Zone 6 station on the West End wrote in a community alert that police were called to the 100 block of Furley Street about 11:15 p.m. for a report that a man had kicked in a door, assaulted the male resident who owed him money and then pulled out a silver handgun and began threatening a woman.

The people inside the home said the robber left the home before police arrived.

Officers arrested Mr. Hollis in the 700 block of Fairston Street about 12:40 a.m. He faces charges of robbery, burglary and a firearms violation. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. Dec. 27.
