The Great Lakes Urban Exchange, a 4-year-old network of more than 2,000 activists in post-industrial cities, is convening in Pittsburgh through Saturday.
Founded by two friends who met in New York City and returned to their hometowns of Pittsburgh and Detroit, GLUE is devoted to making its network cities more equitable and sustainable and thus more compelling for young people to stay in them.
The eventis being held mostly at the Kingsley Association in Larimer, with a city bus tour, site visits and discussions about water safety, race relations, economic opportunities and greening strategies.
