Police are searching for three men who dragged a teenager by an SUV this weekend in Oakland, seriously injuring him.
Witnesses told police that on Friday night, they saw a male inside an SUV grab hold of the 16-year-old boy through a window by placing him in a headlock. The driver then took off as the teen tried to run alongside the vehicle; he was dragged instead.
About 6:15 p.m., the men dropped the boy in the 4800 block of Ellsworth Avenue, where witnesses told police they saw him lying in the street, appearing to be having a seizure.
Others described the SUV as black or blue with a gold stripe and rust. It may have a vanity plate with what police described as smoke plastic covering and the letters "PEMBROMK." The driver and two passengers were three men, possibly in their late teens, police said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Squirrel Hill station at 412-422-6520.
