Liberty Avenue will be closed between Ninth and 10th streets starting at 7 a.m. Saturday for the Pride in the Street event and between Sixth and 10th streets on Sunday for PrideFest.
Sunday's closure also will block cross streets of Tito Way, Sixth Avenue, Seventh Street, Wood Street, Ninth Street and Seventh Avenue, Pittsburgh police said.
Street closures also will occur Sunday during the Pride Awareness March starting at noon. It will begin at Grant Street and the Boulevard of the Allies and move down the boulevard to a right on Wood Street, a left on Fifth Avenue, right to Liberty Avenue and ending at Sixth Street.
About 45 Port Authority bus routes will have detours because of the event. The earliest detours will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, with the longest detours lasting through end of service Sunday, spokeswoman Heather Pharo said. Certain routes will be detoured only during Sunday's Pride Awareness March, scheduled for noon to 1 p.m.
