A 38-year-old Butler County woman died of injuries she received in a one-vehicle crash, despite the efforts of some good Samaritans.

Pennsylvania State Police at Butler said the accident happened at 6:28 p.m. Friday on Route 68 near Stephenson Road in Connoquenessing Township.

Police said Ms. Gall was eastbound on Route 68 when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The 1999 Chevrolet Prizm crossed the oncoming lane and crashed into a tree. The vehicle caught fire. Police said several people worked together to pull Ms. Gall from the burning car. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the accident is continuing.
