The superintendent of the Trinity Area School District in Washington County was charged Sunday with drunk driving in Ohio Township, Allegheny County.

Paul Kasunich, 54, was pulled over on Mt. Nebo Road by a part-time Ohio Township police officer.

Police charged him with two counts of driving under the influence and careless driving.

He faces a preliminary hearing before District Judge Tara Smith on March 13.

Mr. Kasunich, who lives in Pine, did not return a phone message today or reply to an e-mail left at his office. The district solicitor, Dennis Makel, declined comment.

"The district will investigate," he said.
