The Pitt football team had three players selected to play in post-season all-star games, the school announced today.

Tight end Dorin Dickerson will participate in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 30th in Mobile, Alabama at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and cornerback Aaron Berry and tight end Nate Byham will participate in the East-West Shrine game on Jan. 23rd in Orlando at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Also, in other Pitt football news, the Panthers are likely going to be in the market for a linebackers coach as current linebackers coach Joe Tumpkin is expected to be named the defensive coordinator at Central Michigan.

And former Pitt and Steel Valley high school quarterback Luke Getsy is expected to join the staff as an offensive graduate assistant. Getsy played quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers in 2007 and his position coach was current Pitt offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti.
