The West Virginia football team rode quarterback Jarrett Brown's right arm to a 35-20 victory against East Carolina on Saturday at Mountaineer Field.

Today, Brown picked up a personal accolade to show for it, earning Big East Conference offensive player of the week honors.

Brown went 24 for 31 for 334 yards and four touchdowns in the victory, eliciting this response from East Carolina head coach Skip Holtz:

"At the end of the day, I think Brown made all of the difference. He played special and I told him that after the game. I made a point to go and grab him. I told him I was impressed with the way he handled himself."

In leading the Mountaineers to wins in their first two games, Brown has completed 43 of his 57 attempts for 577 yards and four touchdowns and has also rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown.

West Virginia next plays Saturday night at Auburn.
