It will be Majestic Star no more. In Pittsburgh, it will be the Rivers casino.

That's what the group led by Chicago billionaire Neil Bluhm has decided to name the Pittsburgh casino.

The new name was included in the briefing material on casino signs and site amenities presented to the city planning commission today.

Mr. Bluhm and his group decided to rename the casino after taking control of it from Detroit businessman Don Barden, who was unable to complete financing for the $800 million project. Mr. Barden had dubbed the slots parlor Majestic Star, the same name given to his casino chain.

The new group, however, has chosen a name more compatible with Pittsburgh's identity.
