A new traffic pattern will greet motorists on Route 51 in Jefferson Hills on Saturday morning.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that traffic will be shifted into the left lane in both directions at midnight between Brickyard Road and the Elizabeth Bridge as a $5.8 million resurfacing project continues. Single-lane traffic will continue in the work zone through Oct. 15. The overall project, on 4.3 miles between the bridge and Coal Valley Road, is scheduled for completion in December.
