State police release identification of brothers involved in fatal Washington County shooting

State police have released the identities of brothers involved in a deadly altercation in Jefferson Township, Washington County, Saturday evening.

Robert J. Bauduin, 46, of Avella, is charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of his brother Richard G. Bauduin, 48, of Colliers, W.Va.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. on Bethel Ridge Road, Jefferson Township.

A state police press release said the brothers were involved in a verbal confrontation that turned physical and resulted in Robert Bauduin shooting his brother in the head with a shotgun.

He was arraigned by Cecil District Judge Valerie Costanzo and placed in the Washington County Jail. Police said the investigation is continuing.
