5 students injured in Washington County school bus crash

Five students on a Washington County school bus were injured in a crash this morning, an emergency dispatch supervisor said.

The supervisor said a vehicle rear-ended the Canon-McMillan School District bus about 11:30 a.m. on South Main Street in Houston.

None of the injuries is life-threatening, and the person in the vehicle was not hurt, the supervisor said. Medics took the five students to hospitals.

The students attend Canon-McMillan High School and were leaving Western Area Career and Technology Center en route to the high school, a district secretary said.
