A second pedestrian bridge at the East Liberty Station on the Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway will close Thursday morning, Port Authority announced today.

The bridge, between Stevenson Place and Ellsworth Avenue, is being demolished as part of the East Liberty Transit Center project. A bridge near Shady Avenue was closed earlier this month.

Access to the station will be from Ellsworth Avenue, with crosswalks for those needing to cross the busway. Formers users of the bridge from Stevenson Place can reach the station level by using stairs at the South Highland Avenue Bridge, which is scheduled to open this evening.
