Beth Ann Troy, 31, and Gennaro Marsico, 33, wed on November 5, 2010. They now reside in Moon Township.

Q: How did you meet?

Beth: We dated 11 years ago when we were in college at Saint Vincent.

Who introduced you?

Beth: Our mutual friend, Natalie Fanell Bard, introduced us. Appropriately, she was also one of my matrons of honor!

Q: Where did you each grow up?

Beth: I grew up in Latrobe and Gennaro grew up in Beaver Falls.

Q: Who proposed? How?

Beth: Gennaro proposed New Year's Eve 2009 at 11:43 p.m. at the First Night celebration Downtown. He sent me a text message with a picture of the ring, which read, "Will you spend forever with me?" I said "Yes" and we both cried. It was the absolute best New Year's Eve!

Q: Where were you married? Why did you choose that site?

Beth: We were married at Saint Vincent Basilica in Latrobe because we both went to college there and it was the church that I attended when I was growing up.

Q: Where's the reception and honeymoon? Why did you choose those sites?

Beth: The reception was at Stratigos Banquet Centre in North Huntingdon. We honeymooned in Antigua.

Q: What was the funniest thing that happened?

Beth: The limo driver got lost on his way to pick up my mom, bridesmaids, and me, so my dad had to track him down on the highway and guide him to their house. Consequently, the wedding started 10 minutes late which caused a lot of chatter in the church!

Q: Who was your favorite wedding vendor? Why?

Beth: The highlight was Dreamscape Band (of John Parker Bands). They were very professional, attentive and talented! Our guests danced all night long!

Q: What's the most creative wedding present you were given?

Beth: The most creative gift was also the most sentimental. We received a handmade quilt from my cousin that my grandmother had crafted (She passed away 17 years ago.) We also received a collection of Westmoreland milk glass given by Jerry's cousin. It originally belonged to Jerry's uncle who was a chemist at Westmoreland Glass.

Q: What is one thing that you do solely because you love your spouse?

Jerry: I shovel the driveway at 6 a.m. even when there is only a half inch of snow.

Beth: I take out the garbage and recycling without complaint when Jerry is busy with the driveway!

Other details:

Jerry: During a "lull" in the 10-month wedding planning, Beth sold her townhouse, we bought a house, adopted a cat, and I rented out my condo. Whew!
