What: Junior Achievement’s fifth annual Pittsburgh’s Golden Ticket Raffle Finale Event.
When and Where: Wednesday at Uptown’s Blue Line Grille rooftop bar.
Rooftop Party for a Purpose: Co-chair Amelia Papapetropoulos (#SEENBestDressed) joined in the fun by pouring drinks behind the bar to collect tips for Junior Achievement, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching students skills that they need to succeed in the workplace. Partygoers’ fingers were crossed in anticipation of winning the golden ticket raffle — a season of tickets for the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and other games.
Quotable Moments: “My dad used to teach Junior Achievement, and he would practice his curriculum on me. Let’s just say I know how to build a mechanical pencil in my sleep,” laughed co-chair Nate Phillips with wife, Sara Patterson. Added patron Kat Taylor from Bloomfield, “Junior Achievement was my favorite day at school. I would do anything to support it.”
#SEEN: JA President and CEO Dennis Gilfoyle, co-chair Richard Ernsberger, Paul Steigerwald, Christie Kearns, Katie Andary, Justin Binion, Troy Fine, Tom Donahue, Brandon Ballard, Jessica Mirowitz, Ashley Williams, Krista Myers, Matt Brouse, Adam Jones and Rachel Mazur.
