What, When, Where: Ninth annual Savor Pittsburgh Thursday at Stage AE, North Shore.

Foodies Unite: More than 20 restaurants from around the city came to compete for “Dish of the Year,” to help support Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, which works to help end premature births. “We are proud to be a natural partner in supporting pregnant women, and we are very pleased to announce the first program of its kind that will help women who are pregnant and dealing with addiction,” said Diane Holder, executive vice president of UPMC.

Fan Favorites: The sea urchin crudo from Vallozzi’s was a hit with partygoers, as was the Church Brew Works’ chilled corn soup with blue crab salad. The People’s Choice Award went to Braddock’s Pittsburgh Brasserie, and Seviche’s Pastrami Duck Tacowon won Dish of the Year.

What’s it like judging an event like this? “Exhausting!” laughed WQED’s Rick Sebak. The Post-Gazette’s Doug Oster added, “We’ve had like 14 appetizers, I’ve been trying to pace myself.”

#SEEN: “Dance Moms” #SEENBestDressedBFFs Kelly Hyland (in Roberto Cavalli) and Christi Lukasiak (in Halston). In addition there were Michelle Wright, Maris Bondi, Jeff and Keelyann Innes, Cydney Cooper, April Cook, Mary Beth McLaughlin and Chad and Deb O’Brien. Jason and Jennifer Pablonis posed for #SEENSelfies with Shannon Sweeney and Nick Pablonis and judges Kristina Martin, Rachel Carson and Linda Weissert compared notes on Steelhead’s shrimp and grits with tomato fondue. Tim Frank and Leigh Yock danced the night away to the sounds of No Bad Ju Ju.
