When, Where, Why: The August Wilson Center welcomed roughly 750 partygoers to the bohemian-in-the-tropics-styled party Friday to support the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. "People don't have to leave Pittsburgh to have the best entertainment," said event architect Thommy Conroy. "When money for the arts dwindles, the Cultural Trust steps up and fills the void."

Party, party, party! Spreading across two floors of the center, guests nibbled on cupcakes and other tasty treats from local eateries such as Round Corner Cantina, Grit & Grace and Cure. Musical stylings from ukulele player, Jody Perigo, filled the air as people mingled, pausing to take the occasional selfie with pink plastic flamingos. Downstairs, guests played rousing games of pinball or foosball before heading to the dance floor where DJ Adam Salter from San Diego had the crowd on its feet. "This party feels like a big amusement park where you can sample a little bit of everything," said Ciprian Domnisoru. At a station for Bridgeville's Elliven Spa, guests were treated to complimentary hand massages, hair and makeup touch-ups and nail art. Outside, Timbeleza kept the party going with a drum circle, flamenco dancers (and a few dancing furries!).
